The young men studying for the priesthood of the Archdiocese of Atlanta carry the hopes of every parish. Serra walks with them — with prayer first, and with encouragement and support along the way.
Candidacy Mass and parents’ dinner
During the seminarians’ annual retreat, Atlanta Serra sponsors a Candidacy Mass and a dinner with the seminarians and their parents — a celebration of the step each man takes toward ordination, and of the families who formed him.
A Mass on every birthday
Serrans arrange for a Mass to be offered for each Archdiocesan seminarian on his birthday, so that no seminarian’s birthday passes without the Church praying for him by name.
Encouraging the next generation
We support Vocation Days for two age groups in Archdiocesan schools, and through the Elijah Cup we help parish families pray for vocations at home.
