Ministries

How Atlanta Serrans pray for, encourage and thank the priests, seminarians and religious of our Archdiocese.

Every Serran prays daily for vocations. Together, Atlanta Serrans put that prayer into action throughout the year:

Seminarians

Supporting our seminarians

A Candidacy Mass and dinner during the seminarians’ annual retreat, and a Mass for every seminarian on his birthday.

Priests

Priests’ Day of Recreation

A cost-free day of golf, pickleball and dinner for our priests at the opening of their Convocation.

Religious sisters

Sisters’ Night

An annual reception, dinner and overnight for all the religious sisters of the Archdiocese.

Parishes & families

The Elijah Cup

A consecrated chalice that carries a week of prayer for vocations into a different parish home each week.

Throughout the year

  • Monthly luncheons. Serrans meet each month for lunch with a speaker, to grow in faith and enjoy community. See upcoming dates.
  • Ordination anniversaries. Every priest of the Archdiocese receives a card of appreciation on the anniversary of his ordination. See this month’s anniversaries.
  • Vocation Days. We support Vocation Days for two separate age groups in Archdiocesan schools.
  • Advent Mass and dinner. Each year closes with an Advent Mass, reception and dinner with our Archbishop, Serrans, and the parents of our seminarians.
